£18,000 awarded to Helsby Sports Club by MCBF

The Marshes Community Benefit Fund are delighted to award a grant of £18,000 to Helsby Sports Club

The funding will allow the club to replace the current expensive halogen Floodlight bulbs with LED bulbs which will significantly reduce the running costs of the facility. The club will also install a switch which allows them to light 1/2 a pitch instead of the full pitch which providing both environmental and financial benefits to the club.

This investment will not only enhance their well-being and academic success but also strengthen the community.

Helsby Community Sports Club is an amateur sports and social club in the heart of Helsby. It offers a fantastic range of sports and facilities in a new purpose-built centre.

They host a number of high quality, active sports clubs including Tennis, Running, Rugby, Football, Snooker and Bowls. They have a superb event space and a wide range of sports facilities for use.

Helsby Sports Club work hard to actively promote and develop sports and offer the best possible sports opportunities for the community. This offers health benefits for people of all ages and we strive to be the heart of our community.

The Marshes Community Benefit Fund provides funding to local Community groups, charities, schools, businesses and clubs to support not-for-profit projects designed to benefit the local communities. The fund can award up to £170,000 per year across 2 funding cycles by Frodsham Windfarm and Belltown Power (https://belltownpower.com/uk/).
