The Marshes Community Benefit Fund are delighted to award a grant of £2,960 to the Come and Sing Community Choir

The funding will support the choirs ambitious plans to celebrate their 25th concert. The plans include a string quartet to support the celebratory performance along with an improved website and enhance marketing to support the event.

The Come and Sing Community Choir are the only secular based choir in Helsby. The choir was founded as a group where people could come together to enjoy singing and as part of its ongoing development gives regular concerts. The choir is inclusive and welcoming. There are no auditions, no subscriptions, no requirement to read music, no age limits and children are welcome accompanied by an adult.

The panel were delighted to support the Come and Sing Community Choir with their celebratory 25th performance. The funding will help to improve awareness of the choir and allow them to attract new members and increased audiences for their performances.

The Marshes Community Benefit Fund provides funding to local Community groups, charities, schools, businesses and clubs to support not-for-profit projects designed to benefit the local communities.
