The award will fund the building of a composite decked area which will provide a slip free and accessible surface to watch tennis on the courts. This will make viewing of the courts accessible to all spectators, and will provide parents with a much improved viewing experience when watching their children on the court during lessons and competitions.

The Helsby Tennis Club work with local community groups including the local schools and youth groups to offer local competitions and with various charities to offer tennis for free.

In addition, they run various open days throughout the year and in conjunction with Helsby Community Sports Club to ensure we promote local sport and the benefits of exercise on physical and mental health.
