The Marshes Community Benefit fund are delighted to award a grant of £5,894 to Frodsham Volleyball Club
Frodsham volleyball club now regularly have more than 50 people of all ages and abilities training every week at Frodsham Leisure Centre. This year our ladies team (including U15 and U18 girls players) came second in the Merseyside volleyball League Division 2 and achieved promotion to Division 1. Our juniors have had some great experience in friendly tournaments and in National Volleyball Tier 2 competitions, and our U18 boys placed 23rd in the country.
This funding will allow the club to bring more juniors into the club, hold more regional tournaments using our new courts, and further develop our junior teams.
The project will:
- Ensure sufficient equipment and coaching volunteers to expand the junior training and development sessions
- Provide an additional referee and equipment for matches and tournaments
- Provide training equipment and software to improve the skills of the junior players
- Help to keep sessions affordable and accessible to all
The Volleyball club provide twice weekly coaching sessions for juniors and adults
The clubs Under 11 mixed squads compete in local tournament while the Under 18 and U16/15 girls and boys compete regionally and Nationally. The mens’ and women’s teams compete in the Merseyside Volleyball league providing development for emerging junior athletes.

The Marshes Community Benefit Fund provides funding to local Community groups, charities, schools, businesses and clubs to support not-for-profit projects designed to benefit the local communities. The fund can award up to £170,000 per year across 2 funding cycles.
