£8,000 Awarded to Frodsham JFC by MCBF

The Marshes Community Benefit Fund are delighted to award a grant of £8,000 to Frodsham JFC

The funding will allow the club to acquire machinery which will allow Frodsham JFC to undertake maintenance and development of the grass pitches available to them at Helsby High School, through the purchase of a tractor and rotary roller mower.

Frodsham JFC is a growing and sustainable football club having been formed in 1979 and continued to grow ever since. They provide opportunities for over 550 individuals via 40 teams – in all age groups – to participate in social and competitive football as well as delivering an annual football festival which is recognised as the best in Cheshire.

Andrew Jones, Chair of the Marshes Community Benefit Fund, said;

“The panel were delighted to support this application and provide investment which will improve the playing surface resulting in a better experience and less risk of injury for all Frodsham JFC players. The improvements will help the current and future generations to maximise the enjoyment and health benefits that Frodsham JFC provide”


The Marshes Community Benefit Fund provides funding to local Community groups, charities, schools, businesses and clubs to support not-for-profit projects designed to benefit the local communities. The fund can award up to £170,000 per year across 2 funding cycles by Frodsham Windfarm and Belltown Power (https://belltownpower.com/uk/).
