The Marshes Community Benefit Fund are delighted to award a grant of £683 to Manley Parish Council

The funding will allow the council to replace their existing obsolete Defibrillator with a new updated version. The defibrillator is accessible by anyone from the community, adjacent areas, and visitors and provides reassurance for the wider community.

Andrew Jones, Chair of the Marshes Community Benefit Fund, said;
The panel were delighted to fund the new defibrillator. Having an easily accessible defibrillators is crucial because it can significantly increase survival rates for victims of sudden cardiac arrest by providing immediate life-saving treatment. For every minute that passes without defibrillation, the chance of survival decreases by about 10%, making swift action the most critical factor in saving a life before professional medical help arrives.
Ian Walton from Manley Parish Council commented;
The grant application process was very smooth and efficient, and the grant will enable Manley Parish Council to support the local community by providing a new defibrillator at the Village Hall.
