The Marshes Community Benefit Fund are delighted to award a grant of £960 to the Cheshire & North Wales Auto-Cycle Union Centre.
The funding will allow the Centre to undertake environmental improvements at the Alvanley Trials Park, helping to ensure the site can continue its 47-year history of providing a facility for local motorcycle events whilst supporting and managing the surrounding woodland area.

The project will focus on three key areas of improvement. New trees will be planted in partnership with the Woodland Trust to enhance and strengthen the natural environment of the park. Work will also be undertaken to reinstate the stream and repair the banks, including the creation of new crossing points to help prevent future erosion. Thirdly, measures will be introduced to control the spread of the invasive Himalayan Balsam through specialist herbicide treatment carried out by an experienced contractor.

The work will be undertaken by a Working Party from the Frodsham and Cheshire Youth Trials Club, supported by the Land Manager. The project will help protect and improve the natural environment of the Alvanley Trials Park, ensuring that it remains a safe, sustainable and enjoyable facility for local motorcycle sport and the wider community.
Emily Edwards, a member of the Marshes Community Benefit Fund, said
“We are so happy to be able to support a project that balances outdoor recreation with responsible woodland management ensuring it remains a sustainable and well-managed community facility for local motorcycle sport and visitors alike”
