The Marshes Community Benefit Fund are delighted to award a grant of £2,500 to Elton Parish Council.

The funding will allow the parish council to provide new play equipment targeted at the under 5 age group at the Sorbus Close Toddler play area.
The project introduces three new pieces of equipment which allow plenty of scope for active and creative play. During the installation, the surface areas will be repaired and restored, old equipment will be removed, existing equipment which is remaining will be refurbished. Active outdoor play is of great benefit to children.
The play area at Sorbus Close is exclusively for the pre-school age group and is of such a size that it is not overwhelming, with fencing all around providing a secure place to play. The play area is surrounded by trees that local residents hang bird feeders in, so not only do children get to play outdoors, they are also close to nature
Andrew Jones, Chair of the Marshes Community Benefit Fund, said
The panel are delighted to support this application from Elton Parish Council. Playgrounds are essential for children under 5, offering unstructured free play that builds gross motor skills, cognitive abilities, and social confidence.
